Two verbs together

Is this sentence all right? My ESL students questioned having two verbs together. They want to have 'to see' in the sentence.

You can go see the baseball game.

The two actions within the sentence (go to and see) are separate.
“You can go and see the baseball game.”

Another way of looking at this is as an elliptical construction (elliptical constructions are very frequently encountered in English). The complete sentence would be something like: "You can go and you can see the baseball game." Over the years this has been shortened for convenience to: "You can go and see the baseball game." And then further shortened to: "You can go see the baseball game.
