TWO VERBS CONTINUOUS FORM FOLLOWING EACH OTHER

Could you please help me with these 3 sentences?
Does this sound right?

- Am I getting what I am trying to say across?

Could you tell me how you'd say these?

- I want a hotel room that overlooks the back part/side. (how do you say this?)

- I was able to print out all the pages, only then did the printer run out of paper.

Thank you

You can just barely get away with it. I'd say, "Am I getting across what I'm trying to say?" if I had to word it as closely as possible to what you wrote. Actually, I'd say, "Do you understand?" It's a lot shorter.
____________

- I want a hotel room
