Grammar

two too many beers

0 Hi,02br
00I don't know how to refer in English to people or things that are too many and are supposed to be fewer. Examples:02br
02br
01b00I drank 10 beers, but I should have drunk no more than 7. Then, I drank three beers too many. 02b00(Is that ok? What do I have to say? "Three too many beers" or some other expression? It that way the idiomatic one?)02br
01b00There are 10 files in this folder. There are supposed to be just 5, so there are five files too many.02b00 (Same comments as above)02br
01b00It's 80 degrees Fahrenheit, but it should be 60 degrees, so it's twenty degrees too much.02b00 (Not "too many", right? Same comments as above)02br
02br
00I've never known how to express those concepts. (<---and is this sentence ok, or is it better with "I never knew how..."?)02br
00Thanks 050010id1

0 I'd say no comma should be used. This sentence could also be combined with the previous one as an 'if-sentence':02br
01b00If I drank 10 beers but should have drunk no more than 7, then I drank three beers too many.02b0-
