Two separate clauses but no comma before conjunction

Hi. Is it correct not to put a comma before the conjunction "and" in each of the two example sentences below? Thank you in advance for your help.

1. He was very hungry and she prepared him something to eat very fast.
2. He was very depressed all the time and he needed help fast.
