Hello,

Could you help me with the following two questions? Thank you.

1. We were burning with curiosity to know what had happened.

How can I explain the meaning of "burning with" here?

2. When the English took over the city, they named it as/ for the brother of the Duke of York.

The answer is as or for. I think it is "as".
