two questions for teachers

A. Grammar Geek said , "thanks. Nappies.

Mostly, I'm just glad I don't have to put them on anyone anymore, regardless of their name!"

I am wondering why it isn't regardless of their names?

B. I noticed in a thread that deepcove used in the lap, but grammar geek used on the lap

What's the difference between them?

Thank you all for improving my English Emotion: smile

Because although there are several nappies they still only have one name: nappy. They don't all have individual names. In/on the lap.
