Two questions for a quiz.

Hey.

I am making some questions for a quiz - and i need the questions to be short and nifty.
They also need to have use words that are generally known. (So that people that does not have
english as mother tongue can comprehend.)
This is a picture based quiz, by the way.
The two questions I'm looking into at the moment are:

Category: Flora
Question difficulty: Hard
Question: How many species of this are there? (Still want to reffer to the flora in the question)

Category: Religion and Faith
Question difficulty: Hard
Question: Who is their consort? (Consort is a hard word to grasp your head around if you know basic english)

Appreciate all suggestions!
Thanks in advance

I think if you are going to test 'species' and 'consort' then you needn't worry about the simplicity of any other words in the context. Few native speakers know 'consort'.

You're right.

But as a Norwegian, if I was given a picture of a religious leader - and the question was:'
Who is their consort?

The problem would be that consort is not a word in my vocabulary,
and i think a lot of people can relate to that.

Anonymousquestions to be short and nifty.
I don't remember ever seeing a question on an exam that I would consider nifty.

Maybe nifty didn't describe my intentions in the best way. Emotion: wink
