Two questions!

Is the antonym of "to sell back" "to sell on"? As few people say "to sell forward"?

I was also wondering if "be" and "is" can ever act as synonyms since be means "to exist" and is means pretty much the same thing? "be her friend" / "is her friend"? Are the same thing, just a different tense?

Thanks in advance!

Emma
