Two Questions!

Hi,

I've got two questions for you,

1- What do you call it when you want to (dely) a semester while studying at a university? I mean, let's say I dont want to take the second semester because I want to work to afford paying for it, and I going back to study during the first semester next year. How can you ask for it,,,like I want to.....Because I want to work during the coming semester.

2- Which one is correct: I googled it and found both answers OR I googled it and I found THE both answres.

THANK YOU ALL

1- You could just say that you want to take a semester off to work, or that you want to delay your next semester to work. Either of these would be okay. "

Thanks alot. But what would be the name of the form that I'll be filling out, for example: Taking A Semester Off form? I think it is too informal, right?

It is highly likely that each institution has its own characteristic name for that form.

You may have to ask the people in administration at your particular school what they call it there.

It might be something like 'Petition to Suspend Enrollment', but don't count on it. There are all sorts of creative ways that bureaucrats come up with to name such things.
