1. Do you have any idea ____ Lily is afraid of speaking English?

Q: I think the answer is (C), but is (B)also works in this sentence? If so, why?



2. Why does your back look so _____ (worry)?

Q: I think the answer is (C), but is (B)also works in this sentence? If so, why?-- No, 'what' does not work. I can't even understand the meaning if we put 'what' in the blank.

(B)what. Does that also work in this sentence?

No, I can make no sense of 'that' in the sentence, really.

I would say:

1. Do you have any idea why Lily is afraid of speaing English?

Or better still:

1. Do you know why Lily is afraid of speaking English?

I can't make head or tail of what you're trying to say in part 2.
