Two punctuation questions

Hi.

1.Can we use a dash in an informal writing situation like this ?

To some of you -- please bring your usual writing instruments.

2 Can we omit a pair of comma after the phrases like the ones underlined?

Please look up my website/address/name, xxxxxxx, for additional information.

I think we usually don't use a pair commas for this,

Please look up the word "comma" in dictionary.

Our school motto "Let do our best" is good.
