Hi,
I just saw something like this:

This is what I said two posts ago: Blah blah blah...

Does that "ago" sound good. What else could be possible? Two posts back, two posts above, two posts earlier...

By the way, I think I saw that in one of your posts, Goodman, and that reminded me of a question I once asked.

I just wanted to ask about this specific example, which refers to "posts". It seems both ago, back, and above would be ok, anyway. Not sure why Marius doesn't like "ago", though..

"Two posts ago": posts become (metaphorically) units of time. It's a slightly humorous usage.

Two buses ago, two jobs ago, two girlfriends ago, etc.
