Thank you.

I heard 'period' from listenning script again.

"I really apologise for the noise in our classroom last period."

I wonder 'period' is used to express in middle and high school, e.g,. a 50 min period class?

Dear Moon

That's right. A period is one learning session in a school, usually lasting for 40 or 50 minutes

Occasionally you might hear something like..

- Oh no, I've got double maths on Tuesday mornings!

This means that two periods have been allocated for maths: the student will be learning it for maybe 80 to 100 minutes

Best regards, Dave

Thank you Dave.

I thought that's the word used wrongly.

So, instead of saying 'I've got two math periods', I may hear 'I've got two maths~'.

Then, can my original question statement: Ms. Park : I am teaching my students two periods of English speaking class a week, be changed to '~~ my students two English speaking classes a week?'?
