Two paragraph to be corrected!

Hello teachers!
I'm writing my paper after reading Teaching By Principle.
Here's the first two paragraphs, please make any correction please.
Any advice is fine!
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!!!!

When it comes to EFL, there is really no perfect method of teaching students. To have effective EFL class, the harmony of teacher's role, student's participation and surrounding of classroom are vital. Chapter 2 describes various teaching methods by its chronological order. Each method has their own strengths and weaknesses as well as their prosperity and the end.

When reading Grammar Translation Method, one of the classical methods, I was sorry that the method only focused on the reading proficiency. GTM was the major way of teaching English in Korea which dominated our English classes over the last century. Therefore, it is no surprise that students were unable to speak English even though they have been taught English over the last few decades. It would have made you its weakness by allocating even a very short time to have students speak few sentences. The result of the method, we obtained a great deal of grammar knowledge, putting communicative ability aside.
