Hi,- I think you have to turn onto this street...- No, it's not here...- Are you sure this is not the right intersection? - Yep, shut up, I know what I'm doing...--- Several intersections later...- Hmm, you know what you're doing, right? I bet we had to turn at least ten intersections ago/back. Where are you going? Don't you see we're getting lost?What do you say in such contexts? Back or ago? Or what else? Also, is "intersections later" ok?Thanks

What do you say in such contexts? Back or ago? Both are OK. To me, 'ago' suggests time, while 'back' seems to relate to a sequence of intersections, eg We should have taken the tenth intersection back.

Or what else? Also, is "intersections later" ok? Yes. You might want also to look at the word 'junction', as a place where two roads meet. An 'intersection' is really where two roads cross and then continue, but the word is often used to include junctions.
