Two directions of "make known to"

Hello,I ask any native speaker for two questions.1. I make you known to him. = I introduce you to him. Here, "to" means "reaching as far as" / "unto" ? 2. Let me make you known to the pleasures of wine-tasting. = Let me introduce you to .......Here, "to" means "in connection with"? Thank you for your help.
