Two cars at the beginning of the night...

Clark ask Lois out to go see a Monster truck rally.
Lois: I'll meet you there. Standard protocol...
two cars at the beginning of the night, (I'm guessing she doesn't mean
the trucks, right? But what exactly is she implying? Go there
just as friends?)
no drama at the end of it.

They'll drive separate cars to the event, so it looks like they aren't dating. Sounds like it also implies that they'll take one car back.

Hmm. I don't infer that. I assume they'll each drive home alone as well. No drama as in no good night kiss, no walking to the door and wonder if there SHOULD be a kiss, etc.
