I saw most of this on cable last night. It's not on IMDB. Does anyone know if it has an alternate title. Tim Blake Nelson and David Arquette. A romantic comedy I would say but from the guy's point of view. SPOILERS:They are two brothers who live on a farm and have no domestic skills and decide to put up the money to go to Russia to get a wife. They only need one. Tim Blake Nelson is the practical stick-up-his-butt one and David is just sort of insecure and goofy. Anyway, they get over there and go to these socials - they get three of them to choose a wife. The women are wonderful in this by the way. The Tim Blake Nelson one runs into a journalist who's doing a story on the whole phenomenon and he, at one point, challenges her with "Your a feminist! You're the reason men have to travel half way around the world to find a wife!" He also tells one woman's father that his daughter will not be used for sex - she will be married to both of them (the brothers) and just needs to be able to cook.
The David Arquette character ends up coming out of his shell and decks out in European disco duds and falls in love with everyone. I'm not sure how it ended though even though I saw the ending. Anyone see this? It was kinda cool.
And one more late night thought from last night. Chris Cooper (whom I have a mad crush on but not up to Jimmy Martin proportions yet) should absolutely play Dave Robicheaux from the James Lee Burke novels.
