Twice/double

1A. Could you confirm whether the following sentence is okay?

It is twice good to think the present is immortal while the past is dead.

1B. If it is fine, can I replace 'twice' with 'double' there?

2. Is this sentence, "Teenagers drink on average double as much soda as milk," right? Or, should I change the underlined 'double' into 'twice'? Can I say 'two times' instead of 'twice'?
