Twice as many as you do or have

Hi. Which is correct? I think both are correct. For this question, let's say A has two pens, whereas B has four. I also think the word "pens" is optional in both sentences (but having the word "pens" makes each sentence wordy, I think)
Thank you for your help in advance.

(B says to A)

1. I have twice as many (pens) as you have.
2. I have twice as many (pens) as you do.
