tv story?

When I watch tv news, some of them are breaking news, sometimes, I would watch entertianment news (about pop stars). And the programme always like to reveal something about the stars, some of which are about their love stories, and also surprising, and my question is, can I call this kind of news as "breaking news" or "sensatiion",or else?

Please let me know if I didn't make it clear.

Certainly not breaking news , which is serious news that is currently developing. Such gossip I would call soft news .

Dear Hly2004,

We may perhaps say that it is «celebrity gossip», no? Emotion: smile
