Yes, TV is a source of information firstly, because of the news channels we have an easy access to the information about local and national current affairs. Similarly, from the international news broadcasting programme like BBC, CNN etc we have information about what's going on around the globe. The documentaries these news programme broadcast add much to the viewers knowledge. There are cognitive learning oprogramme like National geographic, Animal Planet, Discovery etc, too, that provide us with valuable information about science, animal life, geography etc.
