Turns/curves sharply/quickly to the right

Be careful. The road ahead curves sharply to the right.
... turns quickly/sharply to the right.

Hi,
I wonder if the second in the above sounds as good and means about the same as the first? Thanks.

I would say that it does. Although the verb is intransitive, and not dynamic in nature, we tend to assign dynamic qualities to it, describing what we do as we follow the road. So "quickly" really means "abruptly," not referring to shortness in time.
