Turned to go

Can "turned to go" be used if someone just walks away from talking to someone or can it only be used to mean leave a place?

anonymous "turned to go" ~ turned toward the door with the intention of leaving I suppose it could be used to mean "walk away from talking to someone", but that's not the first thing that comes to mind. CJ
