Turned around

Hi

A certain guy was jealous that his friend had a lot of money and wanted him to share it with him.

However some time later he thought to himself that he shouldn't have asked for it.

He said: I got my head turned around over that. I mean, he had a lot and I ain't got nothing.

Does it mean something like: It turned my head.

It turned my head usually means 'it strongly attracted my attention'. To have one's head turned around usually means 'to have one's opinion changed (by someone or something)'.
