Turn toward us, and turn away from us

Hi,

Imagine we are walking along a road, and a car is driving on the road at right angles to our road.
At the crossroads, the car turns into our road.
Can I say the car is turning away, if it is driving away from us; and the car is turning towards us, if it is driving towards us?
