Turn the card around or turn around the card

Hi. Let's say you're giving this instruction to a group of students. Which is correct? Thank you in advance for your help.

1. When I turn the card around, please ask the questions.
2. When I turn around the card, please ask the questions.

Do you mean 'turn over'?
ie the card is face down, and you turn it to be face up.

Thank you. I was thinking of a situation where a teacher was putting up some cards in an upright position on the ledge of the blackboard and students were asked to ask the assigned questions as the teacher turned each card around.
