Turn out to be vs come out to

Which is correct if any?
If it turns out to be more/comes out to more, I'll pay the difference.

Thanks

anonymous If it turns out to be more, I'll pay the difference. If it comes out to more, I'll pay the difference. The first is better than the second.

  • anonymous If it turns out to be more, I'll pay the difference.
  • If it comes out to more, I'll pay the difference.
  • The first is better than the second.
  • The second is understandable, but it makes more sense with a little change: If it comes to more than $50, I'll pay the difference.
  • "comes to more than (amount)" is the usual formulation.
