Turn on the fan big

Are my sentences correct?

-If you turn on the fan big, the room will be very cold. If I catch a cold, I will pass it to you. So I request that we keep the fan unused for the summer.

-If you turn on the fan small, because of the slow running of the blades, the fan tends to produce a lot of sleep-disturbing noise.
