Tuitionfee

Dear teachers,

Can I say like this?

This student has not paid his tuition fee to the school so he is not allowed to attend classes any more.

The tutor complained that Mary hasn't paid him tuition fee for two months

Hi Tuongvan In American English, saying "tuition fee" would be redundant. I would not add the word "fee". Look at this .

I probably would not bother to say "to the school" either since that would generally already be clear in the context.

But I often see the present perfect used with reporting verb to express an action that is still continuing at the time of speaking.

They said five people have been arrested

So I think "The tutor complained that Mary hasn't paid for two months." is ok here
