Tuesday next versus next Tuesday

is there a is there a difference between the two constructions? The meaning of "next Tuesday" is well-established but also a permanent muddle. I never use that phrase. I'm wondering if "Tuesday next" has a less controversial meaning.

On Friday, September 24, 2021 if I said "next Tuesday" I would mean Tuesday, September 28, 2021. If on Friday, September 24, 2021 I say "Tuesday next" I would mean Tuesday, October 5, 2021
