Grammatically, Does it correct of using verb(object)?

It's OK to me, just that I'd say "their" marriage, or "the" marriage. And no full stop before "because".

Yes, but I don't think it has the same impact. Protested against? Why not, but it seems a rather vain attempt. "Object" seems more serious...

I don't think so, unless the "objecting" is made under the wings of the law. They just don't agree. But this is only my opinion.
