Try something on for size

Not only does "try something on for size" mean "to test something so you can form an opinion about it" but it also means "to try something on to see if it fits you," doesn't it?

Yes, it can be used literally too, in reference to clothing fitting. In fact, with the word "on" included, I would assume that. I am from the UK, so my usage seems consistent with the usage notes on that page.
