Trust you alone

- I can go in the house and pick up the bag.
-I don't trust you alone. Someone has to come and keep an eye on you.

Does 'I don't trust you alone' work here?

It means I don't want you to be alone. If you are alone you can't be trusted. Someone has to accompany you.

Many thanks.
