Troy threatened us... and I am starting

Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

Troy threatened us... and I am starting to suspect why Mark is acting so strange these days, following and justifying every order given by Troy. Mark can`t help you. He is too afraid of Bernie.

In very careful formal English I would have a have a slight hesitation about "suspect why", but I think that most people would find it acceptable. You have used the wrong character for the apostrophe. Otherwise it is OK.
