the sentence is '... in a single year's teaching the top 10% of teachers impart three times as much learning to their pupils as the worst 10% do.' and here's my question in this 'learning to their pupils' part. Does it mean ' this information is learned from their pupils' or 'these top 10% impart and also learn 3 times as the worst 10%'? I'm quite confused.
Top answer
It doesn't mean either of those. Teachers impart learning to pupils. "learning" means knowledge and understanding.
