Hi there ! I have a very close deadline for a motivational letter. I have ran out of ideeas of what and how to write it. So please if you have some time and patience help me out.
The letter is going to several universities and it is part of my application for undergraduate studies. Ideally the whole text should be about 1800-2000 characters.
At the moment it's over 3000

.
Please help me to figure out what's missing and what's extra in it! Thanks!
It goes like this:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am a young XY(nationality) woman living in YWZ(country) and I would like to apply for several Undergraduate studies abroad with the help of XXX Foundation.
My aim is to study humanity subjects, such as art history and museum studies, history and film studies combined with other subjects in the field, and not just.
I have chosen these subjects because I find the disciplines within humanities intriguing and captivating.
My studies so far were on the field of fine arts with a major in graphic arts in a vocational profiled High school.
Based on my experiences I can say that I am an easily adapting, very flexible open minded person, who is passionate about traveling, getting to know different cultures and learning new languages.
I have work and travel experiences abroad, which include a two year stay in the United States and a shorter period of stay in Germany.
My intentions of going abroad were to gain more experiences, to get to know myself better, to figure out who I am and what I am capable of, as well as to improve my language abilities and to broaden my cultural and social knowledge. Even though I have been through many difficulties I can say that the experiences gained during these times were worthwhile.
Daring to take a chance was the best decision I've ever made. All these experiences helped me figure out who I am, what I'm capable of and what I'm good at.
I am a sociable person, I enjoy working in teams and I believe that my abilities are best put into use within a team.
My teamwork experience include many curricular and extracurricular activities which I attended or volunteered for. These include several gallery exhibition managements, working as organizer for an international short-film festival , as well as an artistic organizer for a major summer festival.
Working in teams has made me a flexible person, who knows how to listen to the opinions of others
and how to express myself.
I think that the study programs that I have chosen offer a wide range of possibilities regarding carrier orientation.
I have my heart set on studying these subjects, because I think this is the field for which I have the natural talents and required abilities.
I strongly believe that with hard work and persistence I can become good at it.
What particularly
appeals to me in these courses and studying abroad is the opportunity it will give me to gain a deeper theoretical and practical experience in the above mentioned fields.
I strongly believe
that the experiences of studying and possibly working abroad would be a great help and advantage, both personal and professional wise too, in the future.
It would help me to further develop myself, allow me to gain valuable social and cultural knowledge and experiences, as well as to further improve my English.
I am confident that, having this strong will and my heart set on following one of these programs, I will be able to measure up to your expectations and also quickly adapt to the educational system of your country.
Thank you very much for considering my request. I look forward to your response.
Yours faithfully,
XY
