Trish, I really admire your concern

Hello. Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"Kimberly, I really admire your concern for Kevin. However this was a simple task at the beginning but now I hace too much to lose. "

Thanks,

spelling - have I wouldn't say the second sentence is wrong, but without more context I don't understand its meaning or its logic. The combination of 'however' and 'but now' is confusing to me.

Dear Clive: First of all, thanks for you answer.

The woman speaking is related to a practical joke. At first her task related to the practical joke was easy but in this second practical joke her task o role is too risky.
