I want to know the differences between the following words. Sometimes you can use more than one of these words, with little difference in meaning. However, here are some brief general comments.

trip Going from one place to another. Can be used for short and unimportant matters. Sometimes used where the process of going is more important than the destination.

journey Going from one place to another. Usually not used for short and unimportant matters.

tour Going to several places of interest, to look at them.

voyage On a ship, going from A to B.

cruise On a ship, going to several places, for pleasure, not for business.

travel As a noun, a very general term for the process of going from A to B.

All OK, except:
(f) 'Trip' is usually used for business. 'Journey' sounds very odd for business.
(i) We usually speak of a 'day trip' in such a context.
