I'm having trouble with the verb agreement in the following sentence:
The first data source is/are interviews with industry representatives.
Instinctively I want to say 'are' but if I apply subject verb agreement rules I can't seem to make to case against 'is' stick. I hope some of you are able to shed some light on this.
Many thanks!
