Well, I don't know what definitions you don't understand, so there's no point in my givng my own, which might be the same. What part do you not understand of the dictionary definitions? Here they are:

It seems to me that this dictionary gives an example of usage after a colon (:) as in the first definition (travesty).

... or imitation: a travesty of justice.

And yet for the definition of perspicuous, the example is this.
