Travel/traveling

Hello everyone,

Wouldn't it be a little unusual to say something like: "My interests are/I am interested in trekking and travel"? I could use travel in sentences like: "She doesn't enjoy foreign travel" or "The book discusses the future of travel in outer space" for I don't think I'd use it in the first sentence. Trekking and traveling sound better to me. I am probably wrong, so I'd like to know what you think.

Thank you.

I like traveling better, but I don't think travel is wrong. And since you're putting it with trekking, I would say trekking and traveling.
