travel/travel to

Hello,
Is it true that: "She wants to travel numerous of countries..." sounds better than "She wants to travel to numerous of countries..."? They have slightly different meanings in my opinion, but I wouldn't object to the use of to. Numerous makes it sound kind of odd, I think. I would personally use "a lot". I am a learner, so it doesn't matter what I think. What do you think?

Gene93Wouldn't be even better to say: "She wants to travel to a lot of countries...(or just visit a lot of countries)"?
They are also possible. They are not necessarily better.
