Dear Ashley,
How are things over there? I hope it's all fine.
I'm finally in Moscow. Yes, it's a dream coming true. I landed at Moscow Intl. Airport* at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I had a dreadful flight. My sit was awful, it was hard as a stone and I couldn't find a good position to stay. When I was about to sleep, after 10 hours struggling against my seat, the pilot announced: "We are now flying over Moscow, we will be landing in about 20 minutes". I was the first passager to get up, when we landed. It seems like the other passagers are used to such a terrible seat.
I was so exausted that I just wanted to go to the Hotel, take a shower and sleep. But first I had to exchange my money, the girl kept speaking something in Russian and I was frozen... shocked... I couldn't say anything then she asked me in english "Can you speak english?" and I was like "Ohhhhh yes!" LOL.
Money exchanged, I headed to a Taxi stand and asked to the driver to take me to the hotel. It feels really weird when you're in a place you don't know, alone, with people speaking, banners and adversories written in another language, a language you have no idea of.
This morning I woke up early, had breakfast and went to see the city. It's amazing, a lot prettier than I thought. The Red square is just unbelievable. It's 1pm right now and I decided to stop by a cafeteria to write you this letter and have a coffee. It's snowing and I guess that's what makes the city even prettier.
I'm sorry for making it short, I will write you when I get in St. Petersburg.
Yours,
Luis
