travel insurance

Hi, my flight was delayed and I had travel insurance which states, "$2,500 max ($250 per first 6 hours & each subsequent 12 hours)". It looks like to me that it is $250 per hour for the first 6 hours (ie $250x6), but the insurance company said it is $250 in total for the first 6 hours. Any comment about this, I am confused!

Hi, Sorry, I would take it the same way as the insurance company does. They could have made it clearer by not using the word "per". "For" would have been clearer.
