travel in / along / around or what else?

Hello! I have to answer the question: Hurricane Katrina - Where did it

travel?

Which of the following options is acceptable?

'Hurricane katrina travelled in / along / across the south-east of the

USA.'

I'd like an Eng mother tongue speaker's opinion, please.

Thank you

Michele
