Travel

For any trips, there are 4 issues needing to be concerned: Transportation, Accommodation, Food, Sightseeing.

I have finished my 2 day journey in Vientiane – the capital of Laos PDR. And below is my review

  1. Transportation
  • I had a bad impression on transportation in Vientian. The most popular public vehicle is Tuktuk. Price for Tuktuk is paid according to turn regardless of how many people in one turn. If u go alone, it will be very expensive. I could not even see appearance of motorbike taxi as in Vietnam. In face, bus is a good choice, but they only work until 5 pm. I arrived in Vientiane at 6:00 pm, so I had experience with Tuktuk. Beside, U can consider to book a taxi but it is even much more expensive than Tuktuk. Transportation in Vientiean particularly and Laos generally is not varied. This restriction is one out of reasons which prevent Laos from developing tourist industry.
  1. Accomodation
  • Be a backpacker, homestay is the priority for accomodation. As other big city, there are lots of homestay in Vietiane. U can book in advance or book directly when u arrive. It is easy to get information and suggestion on the Internet. I can recommend a good place called Dream House, where I lived in my journey. It only took 50.000kip for a night and a free breakfast. The breakfast was one kind of Western style, which appealed to me a lot. Another interesting thing is that u can relax yourself in a small nice swimming pool at Dream House.
  1. Food
  • It is awesome to travel and enjoy local food. Unfortunately , I am keen on Laos food. I have been working in Laos for nearly one year. I know how Laos food is and it is completely not suit for me. In my journey I did not try any Laos food. My breakfast was pencake, my luch was pizza and even my dinner was sushi, kfc,..what I like best is some place in Vientiane as a complex of food. U can enjoy sushi, kfc, fruit shake,.. in one place, which is very nice
  1. Sightseeing
  • Vientiane is very small and it is quiet as a sleeping town, especially no beep beep from traffic. And if u go sightseeing in Vientiane, be sure to see the War Memorial Patuxay and Great Stupa That Luang. That Luang is a national symboy which is influenced by Buddhist belief. Patuxay Gate is a war monument in the centre of Vientiane, where u can take plenty of beautiful photos. And about 25km southeast of Vientiane, along the Mekong River, there is one place u can not ignore. It is Budda Park, which is a famous sculpture park with many religious statues. It is a good choice to enjoy peaceful atmosphere, avoid the noisy crowds and get away from it all.

Overall Laos is worth to visit. The journey gave me the chance to relax myself and all my worries seemed to fall away. I had a whale of time in Vientiane.

You spell Vientiane several different ways. Use the correct spelling. I have highlighted the text with errors. Since there are so many mistakes, I only corrected the first three paragraphs. If you fix these errors, I can comment on the rest of your text.
