Transported to trial

I heard on a show « transported to trial » but is it correct or are the other options better?

These murderers are to be transported to/for trial/to stand trial.

thanks

I wouldn't say 'to' is wrong. In Canada, we'd say 'alleged murderers' until after the trial. Clive
