Confused with the term "transmitted" whether it's an adjective or a verb. For example, How does the genetic information transmitted from the ancestor? Or HIV is a sexual transmitted disease. Or The information transmitted is intended solely for the entity.

I have checked the dictionary for part of speech. It states the part of speech for transmitted is verb.

Also why do we have more than two noun such as transmittal and transmissibility in English. Plus, two adjective such as transmissive and transmittable.

"Transmitted" is used as a verb, but it should be "transmit." (simple present tense)
How does A transmit from X to Y?

You can say, "How does the genetic information [which is] transmitted from the ancestor pass to the offspring?
This could be a verb ("is transmitted" -- present tense, passive voice) in the relative "which" clause.
Another way to frame the question in passive voice would be,
"How is the genetic information transmitted from the ancestor?"
In this case the main verb is passive. The inverted question order creates an interruption in the verb form.
Perhaps this is what the author was shooting for.
