Translation to check - didn't know where to ask this

I was asked to translate the topic of my friend's thesis and here's what I did:

"Preparing of licentiate nursing students to perform vocational functions and the question of their intentions to work as paediatric nurses - opinions formed by third-year students at the Nursing Faculty in Lublin."

- by preparing of licentiate nursing students I meant that they prepare themselves, not someone prepares them.
- by vocational functions I meant 'all the things and duties a nurse does at work'
- by the question of their intention I meant 'the issue of whether they will or not want to become a nurse after graduating'.

Tell me please what you dear native speakers think of that and tell me what's to be changed so that it sounds English.

Thanks,
Michal
